Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were below standard, not matching the advertised pictures and not very clean. The noisy nightclub nearby could be disturbing during busy times. On the bright side, the service was a mix of unpleasant and helpful staff. The location was convenient for the beach and city center, but the atmosphere made me feel like a second-class citizen at times. The dining experience was average, and the facilities were basic.
The hotel has a mix of pros and cons. The rooms are spacious enough for backpackers, but there is no storage for bags in the room. The outside window made the room really hot, forcing me to adjust the radiator and keep the window open all night. The decor seems to be a mix of different styles used in the hotel.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Newquay with easy access to various food and drink options. The rooms, while spacious and with ensuite facilities, needed some cleaning attention, as the walls were stained, and the carpets made us keep our shoes on. The service was a bit hit or miss, with some staff being incredibly friendly while others lacked professionalism and were rude. Nonetheless, the price for the stay was reasonable given the central location.
Upon arrival, the room was unclean, and it deteriorated further during our stay, yet we still received our deposit back. The lighting in the corridors leading to the rooms needs improvement, and a bit of a refresh wouldn't hurt. The staff had mixed behaviors, ranging from being very nice to extremely rude and unhelpful.
The hotel's location was perfect for what we wanted, central to Newquay, but the entrance was locked on Sunday due to lack of staff. The rooms looked neglected compared to the connected Queen Victoria hotel, with no heating and a leaky radiator, making them freezing cold and dark. The service was helpful but marred by a rude staff member. Despite being untidy, the staff quickly provided an extra blanket upon request. The dining experience was mixed with seating issues. In the city center near Berties Lodge.
The hotel is in a great location in the middle of everything, making it convenient with various food and drink options accessible. The rooms were spacious and reasonably clean, although it got freezing at night, prompting us to leave. The service was a mix of lovely and unprofessional encounters. The hotel needs better organization for check-ins and cleanliness. The dining experience was subpar, with delays and restrictions. Overall, it's a hit or miss depending on your needs and expectations.
